With so many games that made me laugh, cry, frustrated, or just outright stunned with their ingenuity, I decided to take a look at my top ten titles of the year, and talk a little bit about just what made them so special. That seems to be the phrase that’s summed up my experiences with my favourite hobby this year, as the big guns in the industry released title after title that piqued my interest. So whether you’ve read Dance of Flames/The Eternal Garden already, or you’re a newcomer, thank you for reading! I may put up a glossary to the world of the Ilia on here for fun in the future. I hope to be able to reveal more details soon. I don’t have a set release date for his story yet, but it’s my current project. His name is Julian Redburn, a member of a noble family from the continent of Seldist, and his personal journey may help shed some light on the lingering mysteries of The Eternal Garden while introducing some new ones to ponder over. So, then, the big question is–what’s next? Well, like DoF and TEG, the next two books in the Ilia Chronicles series will be another paired set, with a brand new protagonist and a new setting to go alongside him. I’ve been working on these books for quite a long time (two and a half years!) so it’s truly amazing to have set them free into the wide world of Amazon. In this case, Dance of Flames and The Eternal Garden are a paired set, with DoF having been released in December 2018 and TEG only a few days ago, on January 14th.

My debut books are the first two novels in the Ilia Chronicles Series, which will eventually be multiple books following different characters who control (or are controlled by) their wild and not-so-wonderful abilities. My previous introductory post was written in 2016 and is both horribly out of date and, as a result, completely inaccurate, so as an update I’m a twenty-three year old alumni from the University of Essex, who is now living my dream of publishing my stories as actual novels.
